12 Dates of Christmas

Aaron and I are going to give the gift of time to one another this holiday season by going on 12 fun dates together.   Even if we have a date night in, rather than out on the town, we still benefit from the precious gift of time alone.

I probably should call them the “12 Cheap Dates of Christmas,” but cheap implies lack of quality.  And the “12 Dates of Christmas” are about quantity and quality.

If you want to join us, put on your thinking caps and get creative because dinners out at Ryan’s all-you-can-eat buffet just won’t do.  (Plus that would blow the budget.)

Who’s in?

Don’t forget to post pics, and link back to jlogged.  Most importantly, have fun! This blog is rated PG-13.  No make-out photos please.  Just kiddin’….I love make out photos.  Bring on the mistletoe.

My e-mail is in the contact info in the top left of the main page.  Send me your fun (and frugal) date night pics, with a brief discription, if you want to be featured in “12 dates of Christmas.”

    Thanks for the ideas Dana.

Tracee, you are doing some serious partying in Dec. woman.

Lisa, just e-mail me pics. Can’t wait :)

And yes, some (many actually) of our dates will be with kids. Just pop in some ear plugs and a Wiggles DVD and we should be good to go. Benedryl perhaps?….I kid, I kid.

  5. This sounds really fun but I have to say… a “date” does not include other people. Ladies, if your kids are there it’s a family night not a date.

My in-laws have the sweetest ritual. My father in law takes my mother in law out for a piece of pie. How cute is that? It’s a fun excursion and doesn’t break the bank.

  6. Think of it as group dating Crystal. We take it where we can get it sis :)

  7. We went on date number 1 tonight. It was an appreciation dinner. Great company, great food but a big babysitting bill. All the other dates will have to be budget dates.
