  1. HA!! I’m voting republican because I don’t want to know if my food has been genetically modified. If it says it’s food, that’s good enough for me.
I can’t wait to show my husband this video, he’s going to love it. Thanks!

  2. I’m voting Republican because I haven’t need more people to tell me whether I’m “Christian Enough.” I can’t wait for our Holy War with the Nation of Islam.

Also because I think all Presidents should have left their crippled wives after the war and married beer heiresses 18 years younger one month later. Haven’t you heard - Republicans are the moral majority.

  3. Oh, yes, McCain is my moral hero….NOT! I have three sons. If he wins I swear we are jumping this sinking ship.

  4. Linda Threadgill Says:

How can I send this to my bother? This is great.

  5. Linda…HI!!! OK, click on the video, and then copy and past the link directly from youtube. Then send it in an e-mail.

PS: I’m beaming with pride at your mad computer skills. Will you teach my mom your wise ways? Pretty please. She’s still in the “I don’t even know were the on button is” camp. Sigh.

  6. Too funny. what will your sunday school lurkers think?

  7. I’m voting Democrat, because I had no idea that as one who typically votes Republican, I had to believe everything in that video. I have been a fool for so long. I sure am glad that democratic beliefs are so easy to swallow… much like Kool-Aid. I am putting on my matching “uniform”, drinking the juice, and climbing onto my bunk bed to lie in wait for the comet that will take me to heaven.

  8. I’m voting Democrat AND Republican, because I enjoy having not only big government, but big business dictate my family’s future.

  9. Who does buy everything their party boast? It’s satire. It’s a little over the top, but there are truths there too.

I’m cool with it. I’m going to stand up for what I believe in. So many Christians don’t for fear of being lumped in with the radical left. They don’t want to be branded as anything but oil loving, earth trashing, consumerist Americans who don’t give a rats behind about the environment, and believe bible folk rode dinosaurs. (Not saying that’s you Tom…generally speaking.)

I know that I can be a good steward of the earth and still be a Christian.

I know that I can stand up for the civil rights of women, children and still be a Christian.

I know that I can support my friends serving second and third tours in Iraq but hate this war and still be a Christian.

I know I can love my gay friends and family members, believe they should have basic civil rights and still be a Christian.

I can also think that health care for all people is a GREAT idea and still be a Christian.

I listen to Christian talk radio almost daily, and I have to say that the voice of Christian America is angry, and easily distracted. With few exceptions it’s full of hate, bigotry, and oppression. It’s also largely white, male, and spiritually obese. I don’t at all believe that is what Jesus was about. It’s certainly not what I’m about.

  10. I actually got the satire thing, though my attempt at humor may have been a misfire. I thought the video was pretty funny, but they should have added an image of Republicans being old, fat, white guys that can’t dance too. ;) BTW, I don’t think you or 80% of the country is radical left or right. If people focused on what they agree on, politics would be one huge, boring, hug fest. So, though I normally vote conservative… this is what I think of your beliefs.

Need to love EVERYONE as God does, regardless of whom, what, when, where, and how… I agree!

Need the strong taking care of the weak… I agree!

Need civil rights for all men, women, and children regardless of whom, what, when, where, and how… I agree!

Don’t need racism, sexism, feminism, masculinism, ism-ism…. I agree!

Don’t need corruption and hypocrisy in church… I agree!

Need to support troops, hate the reality of war… I agree!

    Need solar panels… windmills… recycling… compost… Birkenstocks… I agree!… mostly. My feet aren’t pretty enough for Birkenstocks.

  11. Haha! I’ll drink the kool-aid with you Tom. Organic, dye free kool-aid, with aspartame free fructose served in a hand-made mug from local artisans of course.

Sorry if I came across harsh. I dig the humor. Honest engine.

  12. If you believe all that Tom, I’m confused as to why you vote Republican?

  13. Habit voter?

  14. I don’t think any of those issues are exclusive to the Democratic Party, nor do I think the Republican Party is void of them. Both parties are virtually identical save a few “key” differences.

I am a fairly conservative guy, and I tend to vote conservative on those “key” issues. That said, I don’t vote for a party, I vote for a person. If a Democrat comes along that represents my values, I will consider voting for him or her.

Are you a party voter? ;)

  15. It’s funny because it’s TRUE! Not all conservatives are heartless though. I did help feed dog food to homeless old people, but only after they signed over their social security checks to me, which I reinvested in all the oil stock I own. BWUAHAHAHAHAH! BWUAHAHAHAHA! I for one think that civil rights are WAAAAYYYY overrated! (:

BTW, if the Fariness Doctrine ever passes, then you’ll have to post Democrat parodies as well. Besides the above blog entries I mean. (: (:

    “Leave this sinking ship?” Uh-huh.

  16. Fairness Doctrine, not Fariness, LOL. Fariness doctrine is that civil rights thing you were talking about. (:

  17. I’m “a voting in MY OWN INTERESTS voter.”

I’m a middle class woman - I have yet to see any reason I would vote for a Republican. I don’t work for a large business, I want to buy health insurance independent of my husband’s company policy, I want more companies to have progressive family friendly employment policy, I want to have control over my own reproductive health decisions, I want my sisters to have maternity leave and I want family medical leave insurance, and I want equal pay for equal work.

I can’t imagine why I would vote for a Republican.

They don’t represent my interests - they represent the interests of big business - I don’t own one.

If the Fairness Doctrine ever did pass Fox Inflammatory Gossip would have to go off the air. What a shame that would be.

  18. I think that people who exercise their reproductive health decisions, should be granted maternity leave as well. Not kidding. Or at least funeral leave? Or something? Huh. This was your Fairness Doctrine reply brought to you by Big Business saying, be careful what you type, you know we’re watching. BUY STUFF!
