I Forgot
I forgot that I am a lily white honky. I forgot that my descendants are Irish. People who come from a land where the sun comes out twice a year, and they all point to the sky and say “look, it’s that flaming ball of light we’ve read about in books!”
Yes, I forgot and failed to apply SPF 2000 for the third time while at the pool and burned myself to a crisp.
I’m peeling. Even my scalp is peeling. Sexy no?
I’ll be in hiding until Monday. Hopefully by then the molting process will be complete and I will have a fresh new dermis to park under an umbrella indefinitely while I gaze upon all the beautiful brown people who aren’t freaks of nature enjoying the crap out of the sun.

Or half honky depending on how you look at it.
I’m jealous of your perfect skin Biddy. I’m a freckled mess

Irish girl here, too.
I’ll hang with you under the umbrella. And speaking of umbrellas, could we get the cabana boy to bring us some Mai Tais? Makes sitting in the shade extra fabulous.

I am so glad that “rash guards” are in vogue now. Keeps everyone from sayin’ “Why is that whole honky wearin a long sleeved shirt at the pool when it’s 99 degrees outside?”

This was after the fact Tracee. Lesson learned. I have the good stuff now. SPF 60.
I got my ankle lazered again this week, and it can not get sun. At all.
