Dreaming of Buenos Aires

Yesterday was the kickoff of Where in the World is Matt Lauer? on the Today Show. He was in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Paris of South America. Home of matte, the tango, gauchos, amazing beef, shopping, night life that starts at 12 AM, and I’m pretty sure “sexy” was invented there.

Today Matt is in the Netherlands. Talk about a shift!

I’m trying to convince Aaron that we don’t need a house. We can just buy around the world airfare and travel for a year or two…or forever.

I’m not kidding. I could totally rock the ex-patriot life. Been there, done that, would do it again in a heartbeat.

With end of the school year drag, and spring fever we all want to run away and join the Mexican circus need a vacation.  Where’s your dream destination?

  1. Juarez, Mexico…building houses in the 110 degree heat! Using the bathroom only once a day, and it looking like the orange Gatorade you’ve been drinking all day. Good times…Good times…You know you wanna go.

  2. Lately I’ve been dreaming of Sardinia on the southern coast of Italy. It looks so pretty. Speaking of pretty… they’re making a SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2 and Greece always looks so pretty. Anywhere like that.

  3. Ah, Mike…you KNOW I want to go. Oh yes.

  4. Around the world airfare… sighhhhhh.

  5. People do that. Hostels baby. Kids are portable. You wouldn’t be the first parents who traveled the world with kids. I met a couple in Lithuania who had taken their 6 kids to live in a VW Van in Communist Russia. Hello. They said it was a great experience.

I’m going to San Francisco this year and that’s more vacation than I thought I was going to get. Very happy to get it.
