I still think spin was invented by he who shall not be named

But, I went this morning anyway, face red, muscles aching, drenched in sweat, prayers offered up. It is still hard, but the first time I went to a spin class was a year ago and I was sooooooo not in shape enough to do it. Here is one of the main reasons I never went back…pain! Not during, after. I was told by an instructor that it takes several classes before your sit bones calcify. That’s a scary word huh?
I’m trying to add new stuff into my work out. I have gotten up at the crack of dawn every. single. morning. to work out. I go to yoga 3-4 times a week, and do a minimum of 30 minutes cardio on the elliptical every day, and am also doing strength training three days a week. I have watched, and logged every single thing that has gone in my mouth. I even went guadalupe’s, my most favorite restaurant in the whole universe, and just looked at the chips while waiting for my chicken fajitas with “no fun stuff, sub pile o’ lettuce” to show up.
I lost four lbs, and gained back two the subsequent week. Kind of depressing considering, BUT I feel much, much more alive, less squishy, and way stronger.
If you see me in person, lie and say in a dramatic squeal and “Are you working out!? You look great!” So, I can say “yeah, thanks. I’ve only lost two pounds….but wanna feel my muscle?”

No way! That is good! Muscle weighs more than fat, so you could actually gain weight and be healthier. That’s what happens when I work out. I weigh about 10 pounds less than I normally do right now and I think it’s because I don’t have muscle anymore.

Spin is a class I won’t endure because I never plan to be that mean to my crotch. My vajayjay endured birth twice and that was enough torture to ask of it.
However, my new workout love is Kickboxing. It’s so beautifully aggresive. I adore it.
