Because some of us can’t afford to wait

By the way, five days ago the House fell 15 votes short of the two-thirds majority needed to override President Bush’s veto of this bill reauthorizing and expanding the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
I am sick to the teeth of racist, bigotry (even in my own Sunday school class.)

No, but he is Church of Christ. We all know how THEY are with no instruments and such. Also, Oprah backs him, which makes me much more suspicious than any Islamic ties. So he might follow Oprahism. Wouldn’t it be cool though, if he was a Muslim! Then maybe the world would like us.

if he is COC he has my vote

I think people in Sunday School got confused since there was a email that circulated saying that he was a muslim. Of course people never double check what they read.

Ahhh, Jeff. I know it is just misinformation. I just hate that it is spread as truth.
I heart my sunday school class, I do but I keep my mouth shut about a lot of my thoughts so it doesn’t become a verbal war zone.
I even like the person(s) who adamantly believes that Barack is Muslim
I just don’t agree.

You know… he was born in Hawaii… And they have a history of being in the Ocean… Far away from America… Suspicious… Why can’t he be a normal religion like Voodoo?
Jeff - I thought I was the only guy not married to Jennifer who read this… And yes, I am at work…

What’s with the Oprah bashing? She made me mad when she was mean to James Frey but that’s another story…

I love Oprahhhhhhhhhh! You did the inflection backwards Tim. The emphasis is at the end.
Do you watch Oprah? I think she is a fantastic humanitarian, and motivator.

My dirty little secret is that while I loathe her, I love her favorite things show.
Yes, I have watched enough of Oprah in my lifetime.
I love watching the audience and picking out the men who have the “I can’t believe my wife drug me here” faces vs. the men who really are excited to be in the studio audience, lol.

You love her like you love the polyphonic spree I’ll bet.

The Spree tells me what to do.

I don’t think it’s “just” misinformation. I think it’s ignorance and bigotry. There’s long heritage of it both both religion and geographically.
And it’s especially in Sunday School. Last week I was about ready to become a non-Christian just from listening to the race-based hatred based on gossip and ignorance spewing out of “Christian” mouths.

Hi! Remember me? I posted about our insurance situation a while ago at my blog? I wanted to pass this link along in case you wanted to get in on the discussion. We’re hoping someone takes notice, if you could add your story, I’d love it.
