Austin Girly Week
My cousin and I had a girls only trip to Austin, and stayed with my other cousin (her sister,) while we were down. How wonderful it was to get away from it all.
The main purpose of the visit was this:
I had laser removal of my ankle tattoo. If you look closely you can see where it was/is (it is faded to about half the original color.) It takes 3-5 treatments. Now I have an excuse to come back in eight more weeks
Shanna had her third round of treatment on her arm on a really big piece of work, so she told me what to expect. Even with two shots of lidocaine it still felt like, well, a laser on my skin. Shanna is a bit tougher than I am in the pain department as you can see…her legs look like this:
This is an old picture, so all of the black is filled in with color now. It’s a really beautiful Japanese theme that tells a story. Her back and one arm are also tattooed.
I tried to calm myself before the procedure by thinking about this:

Can you say OUCH?????? Does she ever wear shorts? A skirt? Does she have to match her outfits with her legs?
By the way, what was the tattoo you were getting rid of?

She does wear shorts, and skirts, but she doesn’t match them up. She dresses very conservatively at work. IE: Long skirts, wrist length shirts, no make up. Her hair is very long too, so all her students think she is pentecostal…lol.

Oh, mine…an angel. A horribly faded, crapy, angel I got at 17.

I’m glad I never got a tattoo… I was originally going to get a Copyright symbol with my birth year…

I never knew that Aaron! I thought you were too cool for a tatoo? That’s funny though. I might have to remember that for birthday invites or something…
