My cousin and I had a girls only trip to Austin, and stayed with my other cousin (her sister,) while we were down. How wonderful it was to get away from it all.

The main purpose of the visit was this:

I had laser removal of my ankle tattoo. If you look closely you can see where it was/is (it is faded to about half the original color.) It takes 3-5 treatments. Now I have an excuse to come back in eight more weeks Shanna had her third round of treatment on her arm on a really big piece of work, so she told me what to expect. Even with two shots of lidocaine it still felt like, well, a laser on my skin. Shanna is a bit tougher than I am in the pain department as you can see…her legs look like this:

This is an old picture, so all of the black is filled in with color now. It’s a really beautiful Japanese theme that tells a story. Her back and one arm are also tattooed.

I tried to calm myself before the procedure by thinking about this:
