I have delved deeper into my abhorance of painting ceilings
Seriously, I absolutely hate painting ceilings. Especially “pop corn” ceilings. We have acoustic crud-o-la up top, and it soaks up a ludicrous amount of paint. An entire gallon, in fact, for one smallish room. So, this morning I’m toiling away painting the ceiling with a roller on a long pole, squinting against the globs of paint drenched acoustic that are flaking off and hitting my face when “SNAP!” the dern handle breaks on the paint roller.
It didn’t miss me. In fact it fell right on my face (paint filled roller side down of course,) then down my arm, and finally ending in a squishy thud on my foot. It was pretty funny. I mean if I wasn’t me, and I saw that happen to someone else I would have laughed my head off.

You ARE crazy! I wouldn’t even venture painting a popcorn ceiling. I’m not sure if we still have it or not (I’d have to ask Ted) but we have a spray gun for jobs such as that. Have you already finished your work?

Not done yet. Trim is almost done. Had to scrub, sand, wipe down, prime, and two coats of latex because it was oil based and hadn’t been painted since the 70’s. THAT was a chore! Whew. Now we have repaired the walls with joint compound and are waiting for it to dry so we can spray on texture, then we can paint the walls. See why I have waited two whole years to tackle that one? LOL!

Since it WAS you and not me, I’ll laugh MY head off…
