My week. A photo is worth 1000 words.

ptamom.jpg Why she drinks olive oil straight from the bottle of course. (At least that’s what it looks like to me.) I like to kick back a few shinner bocks myself. This week has not been bad per se, but busy. Like meet myself coming and going busy. So TGIF in da’ house!!

We have been doing lots of home improvements, and one of which is replacing and fixing many electrical switches and fixtures. My cousin is an electrician, and has been coming over the last few nights and working on our house after he gets off from his job. It’s super exciting!! So far we have a new bathroom fixture, an outdoor light on our balcony, and (the biggest project so far) four replacement switches in the living room that were very dangerous, and a new ceiling fan.

I bought deck stain, paint for the garage, and cedar mulch for the flower beds and unfortunately it looks like rain all weekend so I will probably be sanding walls indoors. As long as my list is getting shorter I don’t really care where we start, but the yard needs lots more work to get it ready for summer.

And…if anyone is interested, Lowe’s had five gallon buckets of really great broken tiles for mosaic marked 5.00. The bucket alone cost 5.00, and I happened to need one so I considered the tile a bonus ;p Some friends of ours mosaiced a patio table that the glass had broken out of, and it looked amazing. So, I was glad I hadn’t hauled our broken one to the curb yet because I would have never thought to mosaic it until I saw theirs.

Next project: the veggie garden!
