Dear Readers
Dear readers, all three of you, (LOL) and creepy lurkers. I am taking a leave of absence from the computer. :Aaron, I will give you a moment to catch your breath from laughing so hard: Ahem, and the reasons for this are many, but most of all I want to focus on my precious little family, and home.
I want to be a more sober wife, mother, home-keeper and friend and in order to do that I need to keep my head more at home. I may physically be here, but if I am spending hours (yes, hours) on the computer, weather it starts out as innocently as searching for a recipe, or craft it usually ends up with me being sucked in to all the amazing and fabulous craft blogs, homeschool websites, and mama message boards for much longer than I had intended.
We are going through some big changes and possible transitions right now, and I want to get my household in better order, love on my children and husband a little more, and focus on an all around better way of life. Being organized in all areas of your life (or at least trying to be) makes any hectic or stressful time in our (we as moms) lives much easier. In fact doesn’t it make everyday living SO much better if things are where they should be, and time is managed wisely.
I just spent a couple hours making up a detailed “work book” of home projects and things that need to be fixed around here. Complete with a week by week schedule of the work I need to get done to get our home in tip-top shape. The list is extremely long, but not impossible.
I know I am capable of doing it all, but it will take staunch self discipline on my part, and in reality I know that this means only checking my e-mail, and staying away from this key board.
Plus we have very dear friends leaving in April who are making a cross country move :sniff, sniff: and I want to spend as much face time with them as possible before they leave. I know they will need a lot of help getting ready too, and I want to be there for them.
So, take care ladies (Jeff, and Andrew too!) Have a beautiful Christmas. I am so thankful that I have this place to share ideas, recipes, crafts, prayers, and love…yeah it’s sappy, but I mean that.
Do look for progress updates of my before and after pictures (God willing,)
that I will do!
~Jen

Hey, GREAT new layout!!! Fantastic job, Aaron! I’ll miss your posts, Jen… but hopefully I’ll see you more in person in the very near future. The holidays are out of the way now… We have GOT to slow our lives down and work on maximizing friendships! All of us… we just don’t hang out enough. My dilema is though, my circle of close friends has extended so much in the past year that anytime I think of having a mom’s/kids play day, the sheer number intimidates me and I scrap the plan. Much to the detriment of my sanity! Sometimes we SAHM’s just need a day of adult conversation!
Anyways, this was a comment and it turned into an email… and I also wanted to comment that I really need to do the whole hiatus thing myself…. I know EXACTLY what you mean about spending hours on net… it’s LITERALLY a twisted entraping net!! I so NEED to do it, I just don’t know that I have the resolve to actually stick to it. Ugh. Good for you though and be sure to pick up the phone and call me!! Love you!

I miss hearing what you’re up to! Especially since I really don’t ever see you in person. I’ll wait with baited breath for an update…
I understand your reason, though, and good for you to do what you need to do!
