It’s H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N people!
We shall dress as we please, carve pumkins, trick-or-treat, drink witches brew, and mar”goul”ritas, and watch “it’s the great pumkin charlie brown.” Aaron and I think it is really silly that celebrating Halloween under the guise of the politically correct “Fall _____” is dumb. If people have a problem with celebrating halloween, then they shouldn’t celbrate Christmas, because it is every bit as pagan.
In the not so distant past we had haunted hay rides at church, and the event was actually called a Halloween carnival, as were the public school events. I remember going through the haunted mansion in the sixth grade, and feeling around blindly in mystery boxes filled with “eyeballs” and “snakes.”
What fun it was indeed. I will do my best let my kids experience the excitement we had as children.
It’s all in the spirit of how you celebrate. Hey, Aaron and I turned out OK. I mean we don’t eat babies, and we aren’t satanist or anything. Although, I have had a hankering for brains as of late.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm…..brains!
A few pic form the past:
Jack-O-Lanterns.
And of couse fall fest (note the evil red eye.)
